   Abstract:	The School Dental Service of St.Gallen takes care of 8000 children aged from 2 to 18 years.The prevenive programs in kidergardens, schools and clinics will be explained. They are based on nutricion advice, regular topical fluoridation, instruction and motivation of effective brush techique and individual measures such as fissure sealing for the prevention of caries of pits and fisssures. A regular yearly dntal checkup is obligatory for al children. The results after 35 years of prevention will be presented for a group of 5-6 year-olds (2003 only 54 % caries free influenced by migration and refugees, 1990 75 %, 12 yearolds: DMF-T. 2002 0.8, and the DMF-T, of 14 yar olds 2003: 1.3, 1974 7.6) To stop the ECC we cooperate with maternity centers and pediatricians.
